Service Trip to Ocracoke

Would you like a chance to make a difference for some of our Outer Banks neighbors? The damage from Hurricane Dorian to Ocracoke was extensive, and it will likely take 3 years for the island to fully recover. Duck Church will be taking our first service trip to Ocracoke leaving the evening of Sunday, February 16, and returning Wednesday evening, February 19^th, after a full work day. We will be working with United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).

We will be helping with plumbing, electrical, drywall installation, painting, cabinet installation, and other things of a construction nature.  Basic lodging is provided; we’ll bring our own food.  If you’re interested in participating, and you’re 18 or older, please contact John Park this week before 5 PM Friday.  Call or text at (703) 508-6826, or email to JLParkDuck@gmail.com.  There will be more opportunities to serve in months to come if these dates don't work for your schedule.
