If you or a friend have recently lost a loved one to death, please consider joining a GriefShare group at DUMC. We have had one group of people complete this 12-13 week support group experience, and we believe that our thoughts to improve it will make it even better for anyone who needs a caring group of people to share their difficult times.
This group will be able to take a Christian-based book home each week to reflect on the areas reviewed in discussion and appropriate video clips. We would like to have you meet individually with the leader, Lynn Blackburn, before we begin the group in early November. This will give each individual an opportunity to share his/her feelings regarding the loss of their loved one and assist in planning what is needed in the support group, as well as the best time(s) for the group to meet.
