Food for Thought:

Food for Thought is truly appreciative of the willingness of Duck UMC to include it in their special giving at Easter this year. Be assured that the funds we receie will go towards feeding hungry Dare County children as Food for Thought has o paid positions. In an exciting new development, we are investigating expansion of Food for Thought from a school year only nutrition program to one operating a full 12 months. We are in early discussions about a pilot program that would provide weekend breakfasts and lunches to Dare County needy children through a cooperative effort with an existing organize summer activity. As a final note, last week we established a new record when we provided meals to 422 children, an increase of 22 children in only three weeks since the last Duck Call. The efforts of Duck United Methodist Church are significant in this success.
