Duck United Methodist Church: Join us on May 27th starting at pm for a wonderful evening of fellowship, hot dogs, and ice cream. Help us kick off our contemporary service. We'll see you there.
Please join us in the Fellowship Hall between the 8 and 10 AM services for coffee, donuts, and conversation. Stay a few minutes after the 8 AM service or come a few minutes early to the 10 AM service to get to know your church family. Please contact Alice Keim for additional information.
Our Dinner 8 Program continues to be a great success. We are continuing the Dinner 8 for the Fall of 2009 with groups meeting September–December. If you are new to the church or have not been able to participate previously, here’s how it works. It’s a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to meet and spend some time with folks in the church you may not know. We will pair up four couples (or singles) for four months. Each couple (or single) will host one get-together. i.e. the 1st group will host in September, the 2nd group will host in October, the 3rd group will host in November, and the 4th group will host in December/January. The get-together could be dinner at the host’s home, Sunday brunch at a local restaurant (Dutch treat, of course), potluck dinner, dessert & coffee, bowling, or anything which will promote fellowship and camaraderie. You are limited only by your imagination. Come join the fun!!
To sign up, or if you have questions, please contact Linda Jordan at (252)-597-4050 (H) or (252) 267-2407 (C) or email Lindabjordan@hotmail.com by August 17.
The Shepherd Ministry works to connect people within the church. Each Shepherd has a group of people to look after and is asked to communicate with them at least four times a year. Most of the groups are organized by geographical proximity of members' homes and the home of the Shepherd. Please contact Susie Winfree for additional information.
