Annual Fall Laity Workshops * Elizabeth City District

The workshops are designed to support the theme adopted by the District Ministry Team for the 2009—2010 church year—CONGREGATIONAL LEADERSHIP

- “Making ‘Worshipful Work’ the Center Piece of All Church Meetings” (Presenter: Rev. Patricia (Trish) H. Archer, Associate Pastor, Pine Valley United Methodist Church and Chairperson of N. C. Annual Conference Leadership Team)
- “Nuts and Bolts for Local Church Financial Secretaries and Church Treasurers” (Presenter: Christine C. Dodson, CPA, NC Conference Treasurer/Business Manager)
- “Survival in Tough Economic Times” (Presenter: Rev. James G. (Jim) Mentzer, North Carolina United Methodist Foundation)
Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School meets at 9 AM. There is a class for everyone. Currently, we offer three classes on Sunday morning. One class meets downstairs in Meeting Room 1 and two classes meet upstairs. All adults are invited and encouraged to attend. Please contact Gene Schwartz (21-2644) for additional information and a current class schedule.
Pastor's Bible Study
Each Wednesday morning, the Pastor leads the church in a study of one of the books of the Bible. Past studies have included Genesis, Jeramiah, and the book of Acts. The study meets Wednesdays at 10 AM in the fellowship Hall. Please contact Pastor Ray Wittman (261-1525) for additional information.
Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends is a women's Bible study group. We meet on Tuesdays from 6:45 to 8:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We also focus on a card and prayer ministry. Please contact Morag Nocher for additional information.
Oasis Bible Study
Oasis Bible Study is a group of women committed to learning God's word. We meet each Tuesday for fellowship and Bible Study from 9:30 to 11:00 at the church. Childcare is provided. Please contact Janan Usher for additional information.
