The March meeting of Duck United Methodist Women will be held on Thursday, March 4, at 9:30 in Fellowship Hall. The program, a Call to Prayer and Self Denial, will be presented by Audrey Esposito with a cast of a few! This will be an opportunity for spiritual enrichment and growth as well as an opportunity to focus on our mission projects, pray for those projects, and collect a special offering to support those projects.
All women of the church are invited to attend. UMW & UMM will be working together on a fund raiser in July (date yet to be determined). It will be called "Treasure in the Trunk" and will be a flea market type sale with participants selling out of the trunk of their car. UMW is asking for the support of all members of Duck Church in this fund raiser. If you do not wish to participate in person, any items you would like to donate for sale may be given to any UMW member. If you do participate in person, all proceeds are considered donations to this UMW project. UMM will be supporting this endeavor with a food booth, the proceeds of which will go to UMM projects. Any unsold cookbooks will be "treasures" offered for sale out of her trunk in July.
